Wow! What can I say? This electionwas surprising in several ways. First the voter turnout was incredible. There were a record number of voters. Also, a higher percentage of those eligible to vote actually voted, the highest percentage since 1968. It really goes against the conventional wisdom that if voter turnout is high then the Democrats will win...
In addition to winning the electoral college, Bush won the popular vote by over 3 million votes. Maybe Democrats will finally put to rest all of their complaining after the 2000 election that Bush was not the legitimate president.
Kerry will be conceding the vote later on today... I'll have to watch and see what he says.

Steelers beat the Patriots
Yesterday, Heather's father and I went to go see the Steelers take on the the Patriots at Heinz Field here in Pittsburgh. What an incredible game! New England had had a 21 game winning streak going into the game and were the defending Super Bowl champions. The Steelers dominated almost every aspect of the game and were victorious.
The game has been widely cited as one of the best Steelers games in years. I'm glad that Hunter and I were able to go!
Don't forget to vote tomorrow!
